Being comfortable with silence
For this tip I want to talk about your interview skills. More specifically, being comfortable with silence. I was working with a client who had been searching on his own for 8 month and one of the things we discovered in terms of challenges is that he wasn’t comfortable with silence.
This happens very often while professionals are interviewing. A hiring authority sometimes are going to be writing down answers to questions as well as preparing their next question. Often times, when a candidate provides an answer they will get uncomfortable when they provide an answer and there is no response.
The tip to be comfortable with the silence is once your finished with your statement is to just stop. Wait, let them get uncomfortable with silence. Let them come up with that next question because your wasting value interview when you start rambling searching for the solution to the question that they ask.
